Camping Kids is a visual exploration of my nomadic childhood experiences travelleing around Northern England. Before settling down in my teens, my parents and grandparents travelled around England in motorhomes. They would meet up with others to drink and dance in vacant school halls, village clubs, and farmhouses. Their children would follow suit, gathering in the rare quiet corners. I spent most of my childhood between these places. I made fleeting friends and explored quickly forgotten places. I am camping kid: a child of travellers. This is my culture, told through the blurry photographs I could pull from my Nintendo DS and parents’ Facebook pages.
